Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice-Chancellor Prof S Ramakrishna Rao has said that the varsity will host the first State-level Wrestling competitions soon.
Inaugurating the girls’ junior and sub-junior State-level wrestling competitions in the university here on Saturday, he asked the students to prove their mettle at national and international level competitions also.
As many as 450 students participated in the competitions from 13 districts in the State.
AKNU would encourage the students in games and sports and the university students proved their might at zonal, state and national level tournaments, he said and added sports and games would improve competitive spirit.
