Atheist conclave from tomorrow in Vijayawada
The twoday 27th National Atheist Conclave will be held at Charavaka Ashram at Mangalagiri starting from February 9, said the organising committee member, B Sudhakar on Thursday Nasthika Samajam will host the event and a rally will be held on the inaugural day from Mangalagiri
Vijayawada: The two-day 27th National Atheist Conclave will be held at Charavaka Ashram at Mangalagiri starting from February 9, said the organising committee member, B Sudhakar on Thursday. Nasthika Samajam will host the event and a rally will be held on the inaugural day from Mangalagiri.
Sudhakar said that in the name of the God and Bhakti, various businesses were creeping up and the innocent devotees were being cheated and exploited for a long time.
He said that Nasthika Samajam teaches people to be broad-minded, denies the existence of God and other deities, promotes rational thinking and scientific temper and refutes superstitions.
He further said that several experts from various parts of the country will participate in the event which will focus on the essence of atheism and the importance to develop scientific temper.
Noted atheists Prof B Haragopal, Prof N Eswar Reddy, Dr Tummalla Sri Kumar, Dr Bhanu Kiran, SPSV Varma, V Hanumantha Rao, N Narayana, Lagadapati Sangaiah, C Vijaya, Latif, A Ram Prabhu, Palavolu Ramana, Shaikh Jilali Begum and many more will deliver their keynote address.
Cultural performances by Andhra Pradesh Praja Natya Mandali and Praja Nastika Kala Mandali will be held.
