Vizianagaram: The district administration has organised a massive house warming programme to distribute 11,000 houses to the beneficiaries under the Pradhana Mantri Aavas Yojana Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA M Geetha said that irrespective of caste, community and religion, the government has selected all eligible persons to this scheme.
All basic amenities like drinking water, roads and power supply were provided to the housing colony at Saripalli.
She said over 900 houses were completed and the beneficiaries could stay here with their families.
“Our aim is to provide houses to every poor of the State,” the MLA said. Zilla Parishat Chairperson Dr S Swathi Rani stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was working for the welfare of people and the pension amount for old age, physically challenged and widows was also raised.
