Kakinada: Rural MLA P Anantalakshmi distributed cheques to fishermen of Suryarao Peta and Vakalapudi in Kakinada rural mandal on Sunday pertaining to diesel subsidy.
The State government provides subsidy to fisher folk for motorized boats at Rs 6 per liter for a maximum limit of 300 liters per month.
In this connection, the MLA distributed passbooks to 107 fishers who possessed motorized boats out of total 136 identified in the fishermen village.
