Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) is hosting a three-day international conference on its campus on environment awareness under the aegis of the Department of English from Monday.
Seapking to the media, the head of the English Department Prof K Sri Ramesh, the conference would be conducted on international standards.
The conference aims to give a boost to the ongoing environment protection programmes in the State.
Noted environmentalist Prof Nikol Sonam from USA, noted writer Swarnalatha Rangarajan of IIT Madras, ‘Water Man of India’ Rajendra Singh, Mamahopadhyaya Viswanadha Gopalakrishna, environmentalist Dr Patanjali Sastry and many others will participate in the conference.
The seminar will benefit the participants to exchange their views on environment protection.
Rector of the University Prof PS Varma and Registrar Prof S Teki were present on the occasion.
