Rajamahendravaram: Members of fisher community performed Palabhishekam to the portrait of YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy in River Godavari at Pushkar Ghat here on Friday.
The community leaders participated in this programme to convey their gratitude to Reddy for promising financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh, if any fishermen died suddenly along with other promises.
YSRCP city coordinator Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao has said that YS Jaganmohan Reddy is the only leader stuck to his promises.
Former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy also strived for the welfare of fishermen community, he added.
