MLA Damacharla Janardhana Rao selects housing beneficiaries by lottery
The Ongole Municipal Corporation has allotted housing flats in the G3 apartments constructed in 50 acres of land at Koppolu village on Thursday
Ongole: The Ongole Municipal Corporation has allotted housing flats in the G+3 apartments constructed in 50 acres of land at Koppolu village on Thursday.
The OMC commissioner K Sakunthala said that the corporation has invited applications for three categories of plots, Category A of 300 square feet, Category B of 365 square feet and Category C of 430 square feet and 14656 beneficiaries were selected.
Due to no availability of land, the corporation has constructed about 4700 plots of all categories in 50 acres of land at Koppolu in the first phase. The beneficiaries for the lottery are invited through SMS to attend the lottery.
Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhan selected the beneficiaries for the 300 square feet plots by lottery on Thursday, announced the commissioner.
She also said that the lottery for the remaining beneficiaries for the Category B and Category C will be taken on Friday and Saturday.
The municipal engineer Sundararami Reddy and assistant city planner K Venkateswarlu were also present in the programme.
