Launched in September 2013, the TVS Jupiter has set a new milestone by selling five lakh units within 18 months of its launch. The scooter that competes against the Honda Activa, Hero Maestro, Mahindra Gusto and others in the 110cc space, has been widely appreciated for its ride comfort and practicality.

Powering the scooter is an all-aluminium, low-friction 110cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 8bhp at 7,500rom, while yielding 8Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The engine, mated to a V-matic transmission, helps the scooter reach 60kmph from standstill in 7.2 seconds, thus making it the fastest in its league. The claimed fuel efficiency of the bike is 62kmpl.
