It gets subtle visual upgrades to differentiate it from the other X3’s plying on the roads and it gets a more powerful engine to make the SUV go faster. Interior upgrades would please the enthusiasts who appreciate the finer details. Exterior gets a few changes which lend a more sporty appearance to the X3. Interiors too get a few updates which make them look different from the normal variant’s interiors.

The noticeable changes are –

  • M Aerodynamic package with new front and rear bumpers
  • Diffuser in a dark shadow metallic shade contrasting with lighter paint shades
  • M logo on the sides
  • Windows recess, side frames and trim strips covered in gloss black instead of chrome
  • M leather steering wheel
  • Sport seats covered in cloth and leather upholstery offering great support
  • M door sill finishers Panorama glass roof which lends an airy feel to the cabin

The most important part of the BMW X3 xDrive30d is its heart. The engine powering the SUV is a 3-litre inline six-cylinder unit producing 258 BHP of power and a massive 560 Nm of torque. These figures help the vehicle hit the ton in just 5.9 seconds which is very quick for its size and bulk. The top speed is electronically limited to 232 km/hr.


The engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission found in most BMW cars. The gearbox compliments the engine and is incredibly quick in shifting gears. The driver also has a choice of four driving modes (Comfort, EcoPro, Sport and Sport+). Priced at Rs. 59.9 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the SUV is available for sale with immediate effect.
