Fiat Toro pickup truck on sale in Brazilian market
The truck gets both flex-fuel and diesel engine options.The Fiat Toro Pickup truck which was unveiled late last year is now on sale in the Brazilian market. The mid-size utility vehicle has a starting price of 76,500 reals (around INR 13.07 lakhs) . The top-end variant retails for 116,500 reals (around INR 19.99 lakhs).

The Toro pickup has an unconventional front fascia with slit-like headlamps and grille-mounted auxiliary lamps. A pair of headlamps takes the count of front lights to 6. The double-cab pickup has a strong stance in profile, thanks to five-twin spoke alloy wheels, accentuated waistline and silver grab rails. Wraparound LED taillights and vertically spit tailgates round off the design.
The truck is powered by a 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The former produces 139 PS and 189.1 Nm of torque while running on ethanol. The latter packs an impressive 170 PS and Nm of 367.5 torque. While standard transmission is a 6-speed manual unit, the flex-fuel and diesel engine can be had with optional 6-AT and 9-AT respectively. Both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations are on offer.
Equipment list on the range-topping variant includes Anti Slip Regulation, ESP, dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, cruise control, alloy wheels, fog lights, infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, electrically opening tailgate, break energy recuperation, etc. The pickup also gets an array of optional packages.
The Fiat Toro pickup truck will lock horns with the likes of Chevrolet S10, Ford Ranger, etc.
