The spyshots reveal that the improved trellis chassis benefits from new sub frames. Since the prototypes appear to be wearing decoy body parts, it’s difficult to predict the final design with absolute certainty but rest assured, the new Duke naked street fighter will wear sharper body work.

The engine whereabouts are kept under wraps as of now but the current family of compact motors – 125, 200, 250, and 390 cc units – are expect to continue with more performance and less emissions (The underbelly exhaust system is expected be replaced by conventional side canister unit across the compact Duke range). The next gen KTM Duke 390 is reported to employ a second balancer shaft to improve refinement.

The update is aimed at making the highly soughtafter KTM Duke and RC ranges future-proof amidst regular inflow of new models by rivals.

The next gen KTM Duke family is expected to make its global premiere at the 2016 EICMA in Milan, Italy, in November but the Austrian automaker could surprise us by getting the new models ready much earlier. India would continue to be the sole manufacturing base.
