Known as the Nissan Sunny in India, the Nissan Almera with Nismo package has been showcased at the 2016 Bangkok Motor Show. The mid-sized sedan which has failed to garner much sales in India, received a facelift back in 2014. The Nismo package adds a sportier update to the Sunny (Almera) facelift.
To start with, Nismo package gives restyled larger headlamps, new front bumper with revised front grille with three chrome slats, instead of the four slats seen on regular Nissan Sunny, chrome rings sorrounding the fog lamps, 16 inch Y spoke alloys wrapped in 205/50 Continental MaxContact MC5 tyres, new underbody kit for front and lower bumper with NISMO badge, res strip on ORVM, and a spoiler finished in piano black on the boot lip.
Inside the new Nissan Almera (Sunny) Nismo, it gets an all black dashboard with silver inserts on steering wheel, dashboard and door panels. Center console is finished in piano black and houses a 6.5 inch colour screen with infotainment system, navigation and smartphone integration. Seats are done up in dual tone fabric.
Power to the Nissan Almera (Sunny) Nismo comes from a HR15DE 1.5 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine which generates max power of 102 PS and peak torque of 139 Nm. It is mated to a CVT gearbox.
