NorthgateArinso (NGA), a UK-based human resources outsourcing player, is looking to expand operations at its centre in the city by increasing headcount by 25 per cent during the current fiscal year.

The privately-owned firm, which employs over 8,500 people globally and follows May-to-April financial year, had set up its Indian operations in 2005 with global delivery centres in the city as well as Kochi in Kerala. It has 1,300 employees in India with Hyderabad centre accounting for 375.

"With more than 15 per cent of our global employee strength located in these two locations, India is a very strategic location for NGA to capitalize huge talent pool in the country and address our growing global demand. We will increase our headcount in India by 25 per cent this fiscal," said Monica Luzon, the company's vice-president (global operations of delivery centres), told media here on Tuesday.

With the graduate trainee programme initiative by it yielding good results in the recent past, the company will now engage with universities and colleges in Tier-I and Tier-II cities to attract talent. It plans to recruit 100 new people for the Hyderabad centre.

As a part of its efforts to strengthen the leadership and enhance delivery excellence, NGA has recently appointed Raghuram Janapareddy to lead the Hyderabad centre. He has over 26 years of experience including a 16-year stint with SAP, a global leader in ERP solutions.

Founded in 1969, NGA has over 43 years of experience in the IT industry. The company has offices in 35 countries on five continents, supporting customers in more than 100 countries.
