Infrastructure major GMR on Thursday said the second unit of the 2X300 MW power plant of GMR's EMCO Energy Limited at Warora in Maharashtra, had been synchronised with the grid. The unit has achieved full load operation on August 27. EMCO Energy Limited's 600 MW power plant was set up at Warora in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra and power generation from the first unit of 300 MW commenced in March 2013, the group said in a statement.

Hyderabad: Infrastructure major GMR on Thursday said the second unit of the 2X300 MW power plant of GMR's EMCO Energy Limited at Warora in Maharashtra, had been synchronised with the grid. The unit has achieved full load operation on August 27.
EMCO Energy Limited's 600 MW power plant was set up at Warora in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra and power generation from the first unit of 300 MW commenced in March 2013, the group said in a statement.
It further said power generated from the plant is being evacuated to Bhadravati through a 400 kV transmission line. The power will be supplied to Maharashtra, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and other consumers. EMCO Energy Limited is GMR Group's first coal-based power plant to commence commercial generation. Currently, the Group's combined generation capacity is 1836.85 MW with projects totaling 4575 MW under development.
