Hyderabad: Sunsolite, the sunflower oil brand of city-based 3F Industries, on Tuesday said its manufacturing unit located in Nellore district received food safety management system accreditation, also known as HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) accreditation, from British Standards Institution (BSI).

The HAACP accreditation is given to the companies that strictly adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the manufacturing processes. HACCP is a comprehensive system of food safety analysis and monitoring, an effective tool to assess potential hazards and establish control systems.

The acreditation is a voluntary process and is granted on the basis of seven key principles which include conducting critical analysis, determining critical control points, establishing critical limits, establishing a system to monitor control of CCP, among others.

“It is an honor for our company to receive the much-sought after HACCP accreditation. It validates our strong belief in producing the top quality food products on par with international food safety standards,” said Sushil Goenka, Director, 3F Industries.
