Hyderabad: DCM Shriram posted a 34 per cent upswing in net profit to Rs 167 crore for the quarter ended June as compared with Rs 124 crore in the same period a year ago.

The company’s net revenues fell by 19 per cent to Rs 1,442 crore, from Rs 1,789 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Net revenues were lower due to suspension of trading in DAP/MOP fertilisers.

“The company delivered a healthy performance during Q1. All businesses, except farm solutions and bioseed, recorded better performance,” Ajay Shriram, Chairman and Senior MD, DCM Shriram Ltd, said in a release.
