Multiplexes to come up at mandal HQs
Soon the state will see multiplexes at every mandal headquarter under Ekam project. This will herald functioning of social, cultural, commercial and administrative centres under one roof, according to a senior official.

J Krishna Kishore, CEO, AP Economic Development Board (AP EDB), S Venkateswar, MD, AP State Film Television and Theatre Developement Corporation (AP SFDC) and Dr Ekta Ahuja, CEO of Jayam Movies Pvt Ltd signed an MoU on the concluding day of the 3-day Partnership Summit here on Monday in the presence of Nara Lokesh, Minister for Panchayat Raj.
The MoU will facilitate the development of Ekam project in AP in a time bound manner and the agreement will be valid for 12 months. The investor Jayam movies will invest in setting up social, commercial, cultural and administrative centres including multiplexes across the headquarters of all the mandals under Ekam project with a proposed investment of Rs5,530 cr providing direct employment to 60 people and indirect employment to 240 people in each mandal.
