Hyderabad : The imitation jewelry market is growing at a rapid pace in Hyderabad. Blingvine.com, an online fashion jewelry platform conducted a survey in the region, to analyse the same. The survey states that the city has witnessed an upsurge of 38% in demand for imitation jewelry. Young woman in the city is opting for fashion/imitation jewelry as they are cost-effective and help them in setting the fashion trends.
Hyderabad, a well-known city for traditional jewelry is recently witnessing an increase in demand for fashion/imitation jewelry from their women residents. The survey claims that a lot of working women are moving towards imitation jewelry as they feel the need to wear jewelry, complementing their outfit, to make a fashion statement. Fashion jewelry is not only affordable, but also trendy and fashionable; hence there’s always an increasing urge to experiment with "more" styles/ designs.
As per the survey the region has witnessed a growth of 15-20% over the last 2 years. Also, the average value per order has grown significantly. The customers in Hyderabad seem particularly interested in pearl jewelry, with an inclination towards modern contemporary designs rather than the traditional ones. Gold plated traditional jewelry has also occupied a large market share, in contributing to the revenue generated from the imitation jewelry business for Hyderabad.
