Atmakuru, Tirumala: Minister for Law and Justice Erasu Pratap Reddy on Tuesday supported the decision of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy dismissing Health Minister D L Ravindra Reddy. Talking to newsmen at his residence here, the minister hailed the decision of the chief minister dismissing the minister from the Cabinet. "It was painful but it is justified," he remarked. The minister said that the party high command had taken a decision two months back but the former minister did not change his style. "It is not proper to criticize the government programmes being part of it," he said.

He criticized former minister DL Ravindra Reddy for indulging in black mailing tactics. "His behavior was damaging to the reputation of the Congress party," he remarked. The minister said that everyone of them expected that DL would change his attitude. He was skeptical of the blabbering by D L Ravindra Reddy that he would reveal the irregularities of the chief minister. "He could do whatever he wanted as he pronounced himself as a 'free bird'," he commented. The removal of Health Minister Dr DL Ravindra Reddy would not create any impact on the Congress party, observed MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy. He visited Tirumala on Tuesday and had a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara. Though the sacking of the Health Minister was unfortunate, but his way of functioning led to criticism, he recalled. K Keshava Rao, who was given top posts by the Congress, has switched over his loyalties to the TRS.
