Women protestors gherao YSRCP leaders over water criris

Punganur (Chittoor): A Senior leaders of YSR Congress Party have faced a bitter experience from women in Punganur on Wednesday. Hundreds of women blocked the road where YSRCP leaders Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Tamballapalle MLA Praveen Kumar Reddy and MLC Tippa Reddy were travelling in vehicles. They were on their way to attend the condolence meeting of former TTD chairman DK Audikesavulu Naidu at a private function hall near MDO's office in Punganur. Despite the women protesting with empty plastic pots, none of the politicians tried to pacify the situation or to convince the women. The police reached the spot and dispersed the protestors by force. As there was no other way, all the women protested at the function hall and questioned Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, who is the legislator of Punganur, to resolve the drinking water problem as they were struggling a lot to get at least a pot of water. Women warned the politicians that they won't go back without any assurance or solution from the legislator. But Peddireddy was reluctant to interact with the women protestors.
