Bollywood actress Sunny Leone couldn’t address a press conference last time she was in Hyderabad because of the over-enthusiasm of photographers and electronic media. It was a repeat of sorts this time around when the actress dropped by the City of Pearls along with her co-star Sachiin Joshi to promote her new film ‘Jackpot’ on Sunday. However, Sachiin Joshi who has done a handful of Telugu films too, took it on himself and ensured that they both interacted with the media.

Speaking about the film, he said, “It is set in the world of casino boats and gambling in Goa. It is a fast-paced rollercoaster thriller and is a con within a con. It has nine songs and biggest USP of the film is the script.”

The actor who had the luxury of rubbing shoulders with Naseeruddin Shah said that his presence has uplifted the team. “He’s been in the industry for the past four decades. His experience helped both Sunny and me to improve our craft,” he said.

Talking about her character Maya, which has various shades, Sunny said, “On one hand, I am the manager of Naseeruddin Shah's casino, and on the other hand, I am the love interest of Sachiin. All of us are cons out to outsmart one another. It would be interesting for the audience to see which side Maya is on and there lies the film’s biggest strength.”

Sunny who is the brand ambassador of Sachiin’s energy drink brand XXX also expressed her happiness over Naseeruddin Shah’s participation in the flick. “Very early in my career I had the opportunity to share screen space with him. I’m blessed.”

The actress who has shot for a hot love-making scene in the flick defended it. “I don’t see it as striptease. It’s a scene between two people who are into a relationship. It is a warm scene.”

She is also happy that her husband Daniel Weber played a small role in the film. “He is a born entertainer and his role is pivotal to the drama that unfolds. We are best friends and we don’t generally go about taking acting tips from each other,” she smiled.

The film written and directed by Kaizad Gustad will open in cinema halls this Friday.
