A remake of Kannada hit ‘Charminar’, ‘KKI’ went on to floors on Tuesday in Hyderabad. R Chandru, a new director, will helm the flick. Producer Sridhar said that he bagged the remake rights after falling in love with the original. “Chandru is the reason for the project to take form in Telugu,” he said.
Sudheer said that he hasn’t watched the original. “I liked the way Chandru narrated the script before giving my nod. It’s a feel good love story and everyone is expected to go down the memory lane after catching it.” Giribabu, MS Narayana, Sarika Ramachandra Rao and Kishore Das will be playing supporting roles in the film.
