Didn’t take money from Pawan, says Renu Desai

Hyderabad: Actress-director Renu Desai, ex-wife of Telugu star Pawan Kalyan, has said that she has taken no alimony after their divorce.

Coming down heavily on the reports that she took Rs 40 crore as alimony from Pawan, the actress said, “To my surprise a friend called from the US to enquire about the same a while ago. He said he didn’t expect such things from me but I had to clear the air.”

She added she was questioned by several people about the same and maintained that she took nothing and that the rumours affected her. “My family wanted me to go to the press but I knew a day will come when I will get to clear things,” she said.
