Superstar Rajinikanth’s most awaited film, ‘Lingaa’, co-starring Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty, has secured a mammoth insurance cover close to Rs 200 crore, the highest for a south Indian film till date. Recently, Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ was in the news for an insurance cover of around Rs 250-300 crore.
The insurance covers incidents like natural calamities or other factors affecting the film’s screening.

Made on a budget of nearly Rs 100 crore, ‘Lingaa’, a production of ace Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh, is ready to hit the screens on December 12 globally, with great expectations from both fans and critics alike.
Meanwhile, the Telugu audio launch of the film will take place on Monday in Hyderabad and would be attended by the core team of the film inluding Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty, AR Rahman and KS Ravikumar.
