Yes! People who watched my performance in BBB offered good comments. And all those directors/producers who complimented my performance in the film-I am working with them.

So now you have become a KJo actor?
Smiles what do you mean a KJo actor? I am an actor, I am working with KJo, and until I am working with him I am a KJO actor, She says smilingly.
On her hairstyle –
We were just trying to do something different. As Raju Hirani sir wanted me to look different to my earlier reel look. I also wanted the same as an actor,to look different and leave an undying impression with this difference on my fans.
So he said, "let’s try and on par with “Hair styling” we tried with a lot many looks with different hair style…dresses also of because, we set to sort out feminine as well as all other types. We zeroed on a look mostly -which looked more “Tom boyish” kind of look..Eventually, we all understand that hair styling brings in maximum differences in the look of any character. Therefore I have a totally different hair style.
On zeroing one particular wig-
We started using different kinds of wigs as we set on experiment with hair styling. One fine day…I literally wanted to take this real hair style. Elaborating she adds: "We started with long hair wigs, but finally since everyone liked this short hair style we decided on it.
As this hairstyle suited me the best I got so excited that I asked sir, "should I cut my hair? Sir said Okay Both of us were on it.
But my manager gave me a reality check saying Anushka we are shooting next for Bombay-Velvet also at the same time. So you can’t cut your hair. But people really liked me in this hair style they are looking at it- as if I have shortened my hair, even girls are liking it.
A lot of girls are telling me that we want to cut our hair like yours. It’s really very tough for girls to cut their hair even at times, when we trim we always say zyada mat katna …this hair style is setting a trend so I’m happy about it.

Work and pleasure goes hand in hand -
When you’re doing work that’s good you feel nice. But when you’re doing what you want to do- then [kam nahi lgta hai.] Working what you want to do then we derive a lot of fun. And I’m at an age right now, where work is most important to me and I’m getting to do what I want to do. So it’s not a stressful thing.I am enjoying my work.

Challenge doing different roles-
Doing PK as I understood the character well, hence it perfectly got set in my mind. Once you understand your character well, then there is no looking back. Shooting now for,Bombay Velvet which is completely different role. Since it’s a period film-the body language and entire mannerisms etc is different therefore I had to work hard on it.
Since Anurag Basu and Raju Hirani are two different kinds of directors I had to work sincerely on being able to accomplish on what they wanted me to exactly do for their characters. Eventually, I like to do it to the best of my ability as versatility is something that I enjoy as an actor.
Difference in Anurag and Raju-
I guess, when u see their films you will know the difference .I will not be able to pin point their working style. But both are very very unique in their own way. Both come from a certain type of life pattern and this you can see in their films. Their sensibilities are different.
Raju sir’s characteristics are very interesting, even if the character may be just for a duration of five minutes, this happens merely because a good thought process goes behind the framing of any character.
Wherein, the relationship factors in the characters of Anuraag Basu are very layered and convoluted. Achieving what exactly they look forward in their character is not very easy. This becomes challenging and exciting as well, as to how we can don it in accuracy.
On Yeh Dil Hai Mushkil-A KJO film-
Yes! I play the lead in the film Whatever Karan Johar has told the media it is out there. I worked with Karan and Ranbir in Bombay Velvet, and we have developed certain amount of bonding with them.
I am very happy I’m going to go back to work with these people again. I am very happy that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is part of the film and is doing an important role in the film I’m also looking forward to seeing her. It’s exciting; also it’s a different KJO film. It’s not like two girls and one boy play in the main lead. Neither is it a triangle love story, I must confess a totally alag film hai.
Aamir/Shah Rukh and Salman-
Actually, this is a very difficult question to ask. You are different with different people. Shah Rukh is very spontaneous as an actor. His sense of humor is great, he talks a lot. While Aamir Khan is a bit more reserved by nature.
He speaks only when there is some reason to speak…usually, he never has a conversation like that. The two are different but very unique be it their film’s choice etc. Also, by the way they carry themselves …what to tell you yaar they are both different indeed.

On missing working with Salman-
I am not thinking on those terms. I can’t think with as to with whom I have to work? I want to work in good films I want to work in the best script.Until today I have never thought on who is the actor I will be working with. That’s never been my aim. But God has been kind to me that I have got to work with all the good actors.
While I worked with Shah Rukh, Aamir, Ranveer, Ranbir- it came to me and I am happy about it. In future if there is an exciting script I would like to work with Salman. I have never had any interaction with him really. He is not very interactive…I met him on few occasions. He doesn’t talk too much. I met him for his film, Ek Tha Tiger, I wished him for his film, he just said Thank you!

On managing producing-
As film personnel we manage things easily. We belong to the filmy arena and so l have learnt to make the situation workable. As far as my film [as producer] NH10 is concerned -we were working on a certain kind of a budget ….but for me and my brother it’s very important that our crew members worked in a happy environment.
During breaks we would play Cricket and organize running race etc. When you have a happy crew you all remain comfortable. I want to have fun doing good films
Anushka Not included in Cricket team-
I was not included in the Cricket team neither as a bowler nor as a batter. Because I am pathetic even while holding a bat. No one took me in their team. I also ignored them. I did not even cheer them, as they were leaving me out so I said, Bhaad mein jao[Go to hell!]
On not leaving her professional career and turn to production-
How can you ask that? Look at the line up of films that I have in my kitty.I will have to complete all those films and if more come my way …why not? If I like the script I will work.Do you feel or think I can leave films? I am enjoying my work.

Producing film for brother-
Why will I produce films for my brother? I'm acting in a film that’s what I know to do. I decided to produce certain kind of film. If I have the ability to be able to make such projects. Only projects which I find with good scripts will interest me.
Taking good scripts not belonging to any particular genre but yes these films have to be commercially viable. I read a lot. Also watch movies. I feel certain films; I should make which will do really well, I shall go ahead with those films. When ‘Nh1o” happened, it was an instinctive decision, because most decision in your life taken instinctively become successful. No one makes films with an idea of making flop films.
Content driven films over formula films-
When I decided to venture into production I did not have any idea of making any formula films. I always want to make content driven films. I want to make films with young writer/Director. When Pradip Sharma came to me for NH10 I found his idea viable. We are in the process of finalizing our second project. At the moment we are in discussion.
On the latest media reports she adds, Whatever I am doing I am open about it….Oh! You mean settle down! I do not know where from all this has come. Definitely, right now I am not getting engaged, I have a long career ahead. When people do not have anything to write, they make some interesting things, I do not give too much importance [tul] to any such stories.
