Check out: Anushka as Rosie in Bombay Velvet

Anushka Sharma unveiled the first glimpse of her look in Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film ‘Bombay Velvet’ on her social networking page. In a black and white photo posted on Twitter.

Anushka wears a gossamer dress and clings to an old-fashioned microphone.She plays the character of Rosie, a prized singer of the Bombay Velvet Club and has been paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor who plays the role of the angry young man Johnny Balraj in the film.

Set in Bombay of the 1960s, ‘Bombay Velvet’ is adapted from historian Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’.

Produced by Phantom in association with Fox Star Studios, the film is slated to release on May 15.
