Konkona Sen Sharma plays pivotal role in Nyodda

The film is based on Aarushi Talwar’s murder case

Actress Konkona Sen Sharma is set to star in ‘Nyodda’, a film based on the sensational Aarushi Talwar murder case. “I have worked under Meghna Gulzar in ‘Nyodda’ and I found the role crucial and interesting. I worked with Irrfan Khan. This is a story handled sensitively by Meghna,” Konkona said.

Vishal Bhardwaj has written the script for ‘Nyodda’, but neither the cast nor the director are willing to speak about the story line which is believed to be based on the accounts of the relatives of the 14-year old girl found murdered in her room on May 16, 2008.While Konkona, 35, and Sohum Shah play Aarushi’s parents, Tabu essays the character of Aarushi’s aunt. Irrfan Khan plays the officer investigating the case.
