Director of Nani’s upcoming movie, ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ Nag Ashwin believes that Nani took a giant leap with his performance in the movie as it is not easy to accept a story that has no point of reference.

Ashwin said that "Yevade Subramanyam" cannot be placed in a single genre as it’s an existential comedy with a hint of philosophy. But the content is not intense and is a happy movie. The movie revolves around an ambitious guy, Subramanyam who finds answers to questions he asks himself on a journey but Ashwin clarifies that the movie is not a road trip as it was shot in the Himalayas.

Talking about the experience, Ashwin said that not many would be willing to put themselves through this kind of a rigorous shoot as the entire crew was living in small inns, completely disconnected from the outside world due to the unavailability of phone or internet connectivity. Ashwin added that they even braved a typhoon to complete shooting in the mountains.

The movie slated to hit the screens this Saturday features Malavika Nair, Ritu Varma, Vijay Deverakonda and Sowcar Janaki alongside Nani. Ashwin believes "Yevade Subramanyam" truly deserves big screen viewing for the overall experience of the Himalayas.
