Music director Ghibran, who has become popular due to his association with Kamal Haasan for films like ‘Vishwaroopam’ and ‘Uttama Villain’ of late, will soon be on his way to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
The Chennai-based composer, who has also composed music for Telugu films like ‘Run Raja Run’ and ‘Jil’, is the executive producer of ‘Sawyer Corporations’, a short film that has been chosen for Cannes special screening.
Directed by Ghibran’s childhood friend Rathindran, the 29-minute film is about an angry young environmental activist who is on a journey to kill a CEO of a chemical company. It was shot predominantly at Chennai’s East Coast Road.
