“Everyone speaks at length about their mother and the emotion related to her is always dramatised. But not many mention how it is the father who teaches them how to walk by holding their finger,” he said. The ace writer-turned-director added, “At the age of five to six, every kid sees their dad as a superhero.

As they grow, their mind wavers when they see fathers of other kids and begin to feel that there are others who are greater than him. It is the teenage where kids start to get agitated and irritated by everything their father tells them. In their 20s when they get married, it occurs to them that their father had done a great job with managing the house.”

The director said that when they finally reach their 40s and wish to thank their dad for everything he did for them, in most cases he isn’t alive. “So through this film I want to say that loving him for one day isn’t enough. Love him every day.”
