Jana Sena leader and Power Star Pawan Kalyan has something to be proud about. Last October, the actor fulfilled the wish of Bandi Sreeja, a terminally ill school girl at a private hospital in Khammam by personally calling on her while she was still in coma.
On Monday, a fully recovered Sreeja along with her family members met the actor at his residence in Hyderabad to thank the actor for his good will gesture and giving her a hope to live.
The twelve year old Sreeja is the youngest daughter of Nagayya who is a Kothagudem Thermal Station staffer at Palwancha and Nagamani. Diagnosed with Meningitis, Sreeja was in coma for several months. Pawan agreed to visit her at the hospital after the Make a wish Foundation approached him.
"Sreeja... look I am Annavaram (Title of a Pawan Kalyan’s movie) I came to see you open your eyes," Pawan Kalyan had whispered in Sreeja's ears last year. The girl opened her eyes for a second that too after few minutes and returned to her deep slumber. Pawan Kalyan also donated Rs 2 lakh cheque to Sreeja's parents to help them pay the bills at the hospital.
On her miraculous recovery, Sreeja and her parents along with her sister Sharmila Sri met Pawan Kalyan. An elated Pawan Kalyan also thanked the doctors at the Khammam hospital who struggled day and night to bring back Sreeja from her coma status. "I promise you Anna (big brother) that I will not disappoint you. I will continue my schooling and get good grades," Srija said just before leaving her favorite actor after a two hour long chit chat with her favorite actor.
