Another buzz surrounding the movie is that the telecast rights of this function has been bagged by a TV channel for a whopping prize of Rs 1 crore. If sources are to be believed, this is the second highest prize for any audio function. Baahubali holds first position at Rs 1.5 crore. Baahubali is the most-awaited and undoubtedly costliest film in India with a budget of Rs 250 crore. So its Telugu audio rights being sold for Rs 1.5 crore can be justified. But coming to Srimanthudu, it is a regular commercial film made with a budget of Rs 55 crores. Selling the rights for Rs 1crore just by capitalizing on the craze that Mahesh Babu enjoys is just unbelievable.
Is 1 crore becoming the new benchmark for buying the rights to telecast a live audio function???? Going by the trend, Looks like it.
