Similarities between Rajamouli's Chatrapati and Baahubali

When a hit hero-director combo unites to work for another film, expectations on that movie clearly shoots up. We often find some common things in both the films directed by the same director.

Prabhas-Rajamouli, who scored a block-buster with Chatrapati in 2005, have now shattered all the records with Baahubali.

We can find some similarities in these films.

In both these films Prabhas gets introduced with gushing and flowing water in the background. The main theme in Chatrapati is the mother-son bonding. We can find the same in Baahubali as Sivudu loves his mother and also Baahubali, who respects his mother Sivagami immensely.

Several persons who watched Baahubali said that at the time of interval in Chatrapati, the chants of ‘Chatrapati Chatrapati’ reverberate in the theatre. Ditto with Baahubali , where come interval, there are ‘Baahubali Baahubali…..’ chants.

The most important similarity is brothers of Prabhas in both the movies hate him and they turn into villains. In Chatrapati, Shafi who played Prabhas’s brother, was the main negative character and in Baahubali, Rana - brother of Prabhas - is the main antagonist. While both the films have some similarities, they are equally original and different from other.
