Ritika to reprise herself in Saala Khadoos Telugu remake

Much before the release of ‘Saala Khadoos’ (‘Irudhi Suttru’ in Tamil) starring R Madhavan, it was announced that the Telugu version will feature superstar Venkatesh. Freshly, we’ve learnt that the pre-production work for the Telugu project is in full swing.

Meanwhile, after recently winning National Award (under Special Mention category) for her impressive performance as Madhi, a fisher woman who gets an opportunity to be trained in boxing in the bilingual sports drama, Ritika Singh is now set to debut in Tollywood.

The 22-year-old pugilist-turned-actress will reprise herself in the Telugu version. The multiple-time national champion, who represented India in kick-boxing, karate and Mixed Martial Arts, will be working with Venkatesh in the Telugu version, which is expected to go on the floors from September.

Apparently, the film’s director Sudha Kongara believed only Rithika can do justice and bring authenticity to the role as she’s a boxer in real life, before roping her in.

Ritika, who is balancing both acting and boxing assignments, is wrapping up the shooting of her Tamil film ‘Aaandavan Kattalai’ opposite Vijay Sethupathi presently.
