I’ve rediscovered myself with #Pellichoopulu: Nandu

Actor Nandu, who is playing a key role in the film, ‘#Pellichoopulu’, a romedy, says no director has narrated such a simple story in Telugu of late. “Every character in the film is real and you’ll come across such people in your daily life. If the film opens to good word of mouth, there’s every chance for it to pick up big time,” assures Nandu.

He adds that his role in the film is on the lines of Karthik’s role in Mani Ratnam’s classic ‘Mounaragam’. “I play Vikram, a college dropout who is intelligent and flamboyant. He aspires to become a businessman. After ‘Autonagar Surya’, this is the part that I enjoyed the most while shooting. I’ve been waiting to do such a role since long.”

The film has been shot predominantly in and around Secunderabad and Nandu says, though it was tough initially, he had a ball shooting. “Since the characters are from Secunderabad, director Tharun Bhascker was adamant on shooting in real locations. In fact, we shot on roads too. It was an amazing experience. I’ve rediscovered myself while shooting for the film.”
