Nikesha ready to do bold scenes
Nikesha adds that she relishes playing roles, which have grey shades. “I have always played hero’s love interest and I am sick of doing that. I wanted to play dominating roles and enjoy roles that have grey shades, but I rarely get them.

After a hiatus of three years, Nikesha Patel has been on a signing spree in Tollywood of late. Apart from the recent release ‘Araku Road lo’, Nikesha will be seen in ‘Guntur Talkies 2’ and ‘100 Degrees Celsius’. “I have been working in Tamil and Kannada film. Also, I am now getting good scripts that have meaty roles in Telugu, so I started signing them,” she reasons.
Nikesha adds that she relishes playing roles, which have grey shades. “I have always played hero’s love interest and I am sick of doing that. I wanted to play dominating roles and enjoy roles that have grey shades, but I rarely get them. I am not good at playing love interest, bubbly roles, etc. in fact, 80% of the people congratulated me for signing ‘Guntur Talkies 2’. It’s a bold role and I loved it, and I am comfortable shooting for bold scenes, even though it is for the first time. I believe in the director and the script,” she explains.
The ‘Puli’ star adds that she’s game to do bold scenes. “There are scenes which are a bit too glamorous and I am ready to do them. Although I haven’t done it before, I am confident that I’ll be portrayed in a classy way, so I want people understand before being judgmental.” In her forthcoming women-centric thriller, Nikesha will be seen as a techie. The film is a remake of Malayalam movie ‘100 Degrees Celsius’.
