Abhilash Thapliyal, who has carved a niche for himself in virtual world, RJing and live shows, is geared up for his Bollywood debut project. The actor will be playing one of the leads in upcoming Hindi film ‘Makhna’, directed by ad filmmaker Aleya Sen Sharma.

The Delhi-based performer who is also the voice for many TV channels including Nat Geo, Fox History and Cartoon Network, feels his prior experience made the road easy to his debut.

“I have hands on experience online, RJying and live shows, etc. Since I have already faced the camera and have a background of how things work out in this industry, the experience did make my road easy. In fact, I did not even audition for my role. My spontaneity and sense of humor have come in handy for my role. I play an aspiring Delhi guy who wants to be a realtor,” he shares.

Abhilash describes shooting for the rom-com was a learning experience. “I am loving the experience of being an actor. Since majority of the cast and crew are from Delhi, we bonded big time discussing about our upbringings and went nostalgic.

It is really fascinating to see how things in filmi world operate. It is a great experience t work with people who know the art. How Bollywood perceived is totally different and I eventually want to be here.” The film also features Tapsee Pannu and Saquib Saleem.
