London: Actor Orlando Bloom says taking a step back from his career and spending time with his six- year-old son Flynn is a "conscious choice" he stands by. The 40-year-old actor says it was natural for him to take this decision as a father for his child amid the separation with supermodel Miranda Kerr, FemaleFirst. "I'm no less driven.

I have a six-year-old son and I made a conscious choice to be present for my child at a period when me and his mum were separating. I'd never regret that. "I'm fortunate that I don't have to jump into stuff, I can be selective. I'm excited about it," Bloom told Total Film magazine.

Talking about his ex wife, Kerr, the "Unlocked" actor says their lives are much settled now and is eager to work in future. "Now that everything is more settled - she's (Kerr) happy and engaged and I'm happy with a stable home environment - I have a deep desire to work," says Bloom. The actor and Kerr divorced in 2013.
