It may noted here that kin of late Haji Mastan had sent notices to Rajnikanth asking him to refrain from making a film based on real-life underworld don.
Replying to the allegation, national award winning actor says its ‘fictional story’ and nothing to do with any person living or dead. Director P Ranjith has weaved an exciting and gripping story which is based in Mumbai and revolves around underbelly of Mumbai but not a biopic, says the actor in a statement. Meanwhile, production team has approached top middle-aged actress Vidya Balan to play the female lead, in this family drama.
