Hyderabad: Close on the heels of south superstar Kamal Haasan announcing to host the Bigg Boss in Tamil, reports of T-town superstar NTR Jr has signed a deal to host the reality show for Star Maa for whopping sum has been making rounds.
Briefly, Bigg Boss is a reality show based on the original Dutch BigBrother format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants (known as "housemates") live in a purposely-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world.
The show host observes their living style and attitude in 100 days and starts eliminating housemates for bad or rude behaviour, and also tries to rake up issues between contestants and finally decides the winner.
The show has clicked in a big way across Hindi audience across the world. Now, Star TV is looking to launch this show in south and has first signed Kamal Haasan (his maiden TV debut) and now a statement from Star Maa says “this is to inform you that we have confirmed the host for Bigg Boss and have been successful in getting jr NTR on board. He is grandson of legendary NTR and has huge popularity in two Telugu states,” it adds.
According to sources, Hindi superstar Salman Khan has been raising his stakes for the last nine seasons and now he is reportedly charging `8 crore per episode.
