Kodangal: Unmindful of the fact that he is born creative, his parents thought him to be a liability on the family for his fault of having born with no hands. But the boy turned out to be an asset and sky is the limit for his talent. He is registering progress in academics, sports and games and of course, in pursuing his passion of art.

At a time writing with toes is considered extremely difficult, he draws with his toes producing wonderful images. He is gifted with innate abilities to reproduce any image that is shown to him within three or four minutes. Even able-bodied persons are awe-struck with his creative abilities.

Once considered a liability, he independently handles all his chores whether it is eating food, putting on clothes and his books and other things in school bag or riding a bicycle to the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) at Bomraspet in Vikarabad district.

He is Srikar, the eldest son of Susli Bai and Nandya Naik residing at Bapalli Thanda. He is student of ninth class at the ZPHS. He yearns to become a lawyer and help the poor and does not want to take a government job like teacher as he is required to write on black board, which is beyond feasibility.

Srikar is never depressed about his physical problem -having born with no hands and rather nurses a feeling that it is the fault of the God to have created him thus. He is sure to win the first prize whenever a drawing competition is held in his school. He set an example not only for the physically challenged but also the able bodied with his skill in wielding the pencil with his toes.

His mother, who once tried to get rid of him, feels proud of her son’s accomplishments. With worry lit large on her face, she would say, “Who will take good care of him after she and her husband expired?" She laments that none is coming forward to support him though he is excelling in academics and extra-curricular activities.
