Hyderabad: Central Zone police on Tuesday arrested a three-member gang and foiled its plan to murder one Tarjan Pavan and his associate Raju at Santoshnagar.

Police recovered a dagger, a knife, three cell phones and two motorbikes from Aakaram Anji, 23, of Gandhinagar, Md Nadeem, 20, of Balapur and A Manoj Yadav, 20, of Badangpet who conspired to kill Pavan and Raju, both residents of Champapet, following a financial dispute.

On Tuesday, around 11.30 am, the Task Force sleuths got information that a few men had come to DRDL crossroads in Santoshnagar and they were carrying weapons in their vehicles.

Police, who suspected that the armed men might have come there to kill someone, formed teams under N Koti Reddy, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and rushed to the spot. Finding them moving suspiciously, police intercepted the armed men and arrested them.

During interrogation, it came to light that the accused persons bore a grudge against Pavan and Raju, who attacked them on May 4 at Champapet crossroads over some financial dispute, so they thought about revenge and planned to kill Pavan and Raju.

The arrested persons along with seized weapons were handed over to Santoshnagar police station for further action.
