Hyderabad: Early on Tuesday at Jangampalli of Bikkanur mandal in Nizamabad district, two persons were killed in a road accident. A car hit three persons who were attempting to cross the road at the time of accident. In this accident, while two persons were killed on the spot, the third person sustained stern injuries. The dead bodies of the deceased have been rushed to a nearby government hospital for autopsy, while the injured person has been rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment. The police have registered a case and have been investigating the matter. More details are awaited.
In another road accident that happened early on Tuesday, on National Highway No 16, near Kurrelagudem of Bheemadolu mandal in West Godavari district, a car was thumped by a Lorry. In this accident, Bhogireddy Srinu (40), a BJP activist, died on the spot while three others sustained stern injuries. All the four persons are learnt to be the close relatives of Paidikondala Manikya Rao, the BJP MLA of Tadepalligudem. The victims were on their way back to home after meeting Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena Party Chief at his residence in Hyderabad. When the car by which they were travelling reached Kurrelagudem, it was thumped by a high speeding lorry. While Srinu died on the spot, the remaining three persons sustained stern injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital at Tadepalligudem for treatment. The dead body of the deceased has been rushed to Government Hospital at Eluru for post-mortem. A case has been booked by the Bheemadolu police and has been investigating the case.
These days, mishaps have been on a rise. Let it be a mishap on the road or otherwise, the main reason turns to be the reckless attitude of the people. There is a need to exact the situation so as to prevent the accidents. Surely, if timely preventive measures would have been adopted, most of the accidents could have been avoided. The people need to be educated. Better and wide publicity through the mass media channels may be opted for the same. Entertainment-Education concepts are most befitting in this case and will surely prove effective.
