Hyderabad: Mirchowk police on Monday claimed to have cracked the brutal double murder that took place five days ago and arrested two in the case. The police said the murder of 45-year-old Sameena Fatima and 16-year-old Syeda Daniya Anum, was conspired by Sameena’s husband Syed Ali Asalith. Police seized four cell phones, a motorcycle, a knife and a passport in this regard.

It may be recalled that Sameena and Syeda were brutally murdered at Noorkhan Bazaar in Mirchowk on June 11. They were found dead in their bedrooms with their throats slit. The armed attackers had entered the house from the rear. The police had registered the murders case same day and started investigation based on a complaint made to them by Sakeena Sayeda, mother of Sameena.

On credible information, police nabbed the accused Syed, 51, of Mirchowk and Muslim Ali, 26, a class IV employee at Fever Hospital and a resident of Matha Ki Khidki in Old City. They have confessed that they have committed the crime.

Investigation has revealed that Syed Ali had conspired with Muslim Ali to commit the murder of Sameena and his wife’s sister’s daughter, Syeda Daniya. Muslim Ali was offered Rs 2 lakh for the job.
