Seventy-yr-old woman attacked, robbed

Hyderabad: A 70-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by unidentified men and gold ornaments and cash were taken away from her house under Kushaiguda police limits on Saturday afternoon. Police said Lakshmiamma, a widow, was living alone at Dwarkapuri Colony in Kushaiguda area. In the afternoon, miscreants barged into her house and attacked Lakshmiamma and tied her hands and legs to a sofa. They snatched her five-sovereign chain and took away 12 sovereigns of gold kept in the almirah. The incident came to light when neighbours found her lying unconscious and alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and registered a case.
