Guwahati: A headmaster of a primary school was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Assam’s Jorhat district on Monday, police said.
Dwijen Gogoi, the headmaster of Nimunabagan primary school in the upper Assam district was called out of the institution by the unidentified gunman and fled after shot him from zero range.
The teacher died on spot. Police had recovered an empty cartridge of point 32 pistol from the spot.
Police had launched operation to nab the accused person.
