Sexual harassment by teacher
A ninth class student of Vidyodaya High School at Jammikunta in Karimnagar district was allegedly subjected to sexual harassment by Ravi Kumar, a teacher at the school, for the past two months.
Angry parents, students ransack school furniture
Karimnagar: A ninth class student of Vidyodaya High School at Jammikunta in Karimnagar district was allegedly subjected to sexual harassment by Ravi Kumar, a teacher at the school, for the past two months.
The teacher was making obscene remarks while speaking to her over phone. The student informed her parents, A Aruna and Ravi Kumar, natives of Kothapalli village in Jammikunta mandal, about the matter.
Upset over the teacher’s behaviour, parents of the girl and leaders of students’ unions destroyed the furniture at the school on Tuesday. Later, they staged dharna in front of the school demanding that the teacher should be punished. Subsequently, the police took teacher Ravi Kumar into custody.
