Hyderabad: Two persons who pretended to be cops and cheated several unemployed innocent youths by promising them jobs in the police department have been arrested by Task Force (North) team, police said on Thursday. Police seized a police uniform, a home guard ID card, three mobile phones and a TV from their possession.

B Bharat Kumar, 25, of Khammam district and P Aruna of Moinabad were arrested by the Task Force sleuths on Wednesday near Jubilee Bus Stand, Secunderabad.

The impersonator Bharat, a steward in Country Club, along with his distant relative, P Aruna (a home guard in Cyberabad) hatched a plan to earn easy money. Hence, posing himself as sub-inspector Bharat introduced Aruna as head constable to the victims. The accused have been arrested under Section 420 and 506 of the IPC.
