Nirmal (Adilabad): Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Nirmal Tahsildar Prabhakar red handed on Monday while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from one Shekhar of Mujgi village in this mandal.
Shekhar had approached the officer seeking a no-objection certificate for cutting teakwood trees in his two-acre land. However, Prabhakar sought Rs 5,000 bribe. The villager approached ACB, which instructed him to hand over the amount to the Tahsildar at his residence. Sudarshan Goud, DSP of ACB, said Prabhakar would be produced in ACB court after an inquiry.
