A 17-year-old girl studying in class VIII attempted suicide by setting herself on fire in Kapra Circle on Tuesday. According to Kushaiguda police, Soni reportedly doused herself with kerosene and set herself ablaze at her Indiranagar residence. It is learnt that the girl took the extreme step following differences with family members.
Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl studying in class VIII attempted suicide by setting herself on fire in Kapra Circle on Tuesday. It is learnt that the girl took the extreme step following differences with family members.
The girl has been admitted to Gandhi Hospital and reported to be in critical condition. According to doctors treating her, she has received over 80 per cent burns. “We are yet to ascertain whether the victim attempted suicide or was it attempt to murder. Investigation is underway. We are also questioning the family members,” said the cops, adding that a case has been registered.
